PHFI Launched Initiative for Community-focused Oral Health Research

The Public Health Foundation of India recently announced the launch of a new initiative for community-focused oral health research ensuring equity and named the efforts Project CORE. The key partners in this project are Jamia Millia Islamia University, University College London, Jan Swasthya Sewa Sansthan, Queen Mary University of London, and oral health experts. This CORE initiative aims at establishing sustainable oral health research capacity in India by collaborating with local and international institutions and reducing inequalities in oral health services. The PHFI research team was honored by the National Institute for Health and Care Research, UK, for improving health outcomes and supporting the health systems to address oral health issues among the population. This project aims to enhance the affordability and accessibility of oral health services, and it has expanded the pilot projects in Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, and Rajasthan to understand the potential causes of oral health inequalities.
