Kenya Launches Health Insurance Scheme Improving the Service Delivery
Kenya’s Ministry of Health recently announced the launch of a new health insurance scheme named the Social Health Insurance Fund that will promote equity, fairness, and improved service delivery in healthcare sectors. The critical healthcare services such as chemotherapy, dialysis, dental care, and surgery can become affordable and easily accessible to citizens without any financial burden with the help of this new scheme. More than 2 million Kenyans enrolled in this scheme and it is activated in both public and private hospitals where the registered citizens will receive quality services, consultations, diagnosis, and treatments at affordable cost.
